Two Maryland men are now facing serious charges after separate armed road rage events caught the attention of state police in Baltimore and Cecil counties. According to a report by Maryland State Police, Cedric James, 33, and Skyler Robinson, 23, have been apprehended with loaded firearms, escalating tensions on the already rough-surfaced roads of aggression and violence.
The first incident occurred on March 19, when a driver, later identified as James of North East, allegedly showed a firearm during a highway dispute on Pulaski Highway. Although the confrontation didn't lead to shots being fired or injuries reported, the Maryland State Police were not taking any chances. In an effort spearheaded by their Highway Gun Crimes Initiative, investigators, following a tip, served an authorized search warrant last Friday at James' vehicle and residence. A loaded handgun was consequently found and seized, resulting in James' arrest, which was especially significant since he is legally prohibited from possessing firearms due to a felony conviction.
Skyler Robinson, from Owings Mills, found himself on the police radar the following day, March 20, on I-695 near Stevenson Road, where he allegedly brandished a firearm at another driver. No physical harm ensued, but the fear sown on the highway was enough for a swift response. A Baltimore County police officer located Robinson's vehicle at a Royal Farms store shortly after the victim's report, but Robinson fled. The Maryland State Apprehension Team and the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Region Fugitive Task Force got involved, ultimately arresting Robinson last Friday.
