The Upper Arlington Police Department is alerting the public to several items that have been earmarked for forfeiture, with a formal petition set to be filed in the Franklin County, Ohio, Common Pleas Court. In a public notice published on Tuesday, items ranging from credit cards to USB flash drives are listed as having been seized over the previous two years and are currently in police custody.

Among the possessions detailed in the public notice is an assortment of credit cards, discovered at the Kingsdale Center back in November 2023. After a few months, the lion's share of attention was directed towards a vehicle registration that had been impounded by authorities in August 2024, at a residence along Ashland Avenue. In a show of custody over our worldly goods, police also took in an odd mix comprising baby items, stuffed animals, and a book encountered at the intersection of Mountview Road and Inchcliff Road on August 18, 2024.

Sensitive personal documentation hasn't been spared the gaze of Upper Arlington's law enforcement either. An ID card and license plate, which have been stored in the back rooms of the police department since being collected at the confluence of Riverside Drive and Clifton Road in October 2023, are also on the list. Straying into the digital domain, USB flash drives, which were seized from Ridgecliffe Road, round out the list of items slated for the legal proceedings.

The Upper Arlington Police Department, in its effort to maintain transparency, has extended an offer for individuals who can stake a legitimate claim to any of the items mentioned above. Seized and now standing to be claimed, the rightful owners or those with a valid security interest are urged to step forward if they wish to contest the pending Court Order.
