Over the weekend, WrestleMania 41 took place in Las Vegas, featuring viewing parties and fan experiences that provided a closer look at the world of wrestling. According to a report by News3LV, The Plaza Hotel & Casino welcomed wrestling fans by showcasing the main event on a large projector screen at the Sand Dollar Downtown. The event also offered fans the chance to meet wrestling icons such as Danhausen and Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
The event took place over two nights, with the wrestling atmosphere extending beyond the hotel walls. Ken Wenzell, who had seen John Cena in the ring for the first time two decades ago, attended ringside for what was billed as Cena's final match. "This is my 20th anniversary of seeing Cena’s championship belt," Cena said, "I just love wrestling, man." the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Rachel Nabatian, head of combat sports for On Location, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that sales for the event saw a 75 percent increase compared to last year's event in Philadelphia and a 140 percent rise from the 2023 event in Los Angeles. This growth was attributed to the exclusive packages offered through On Location, which included options such as private golf sessions with stars like The Miz, dining with WWE personalities, and sharing suites with legends like Undertaker and Hulk Hogan.
Attendance figures from Shawn Michaels, a retired WWE wrestler, were notable. On the first night at Allegiant Stadium, Michaels announced a sellout crowd of 61,467, highlighting strong turnout for the event in Las Vegas. Christopher Boman, who traveled to Vegas with his family and friends for six days, represented the experience of many attendees: "It's a blessing," he stated, despite the cost potentially hitting the $10,000 mark, "It being his (Cena) last one so you got to pull the trigger." As conveyed by Boman to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, this year's WrestleMania was "booked to be one of the better ones in WrestleMania history."
