Four men have pleaded guilty to charges related to multiple drive-by shootings in Southeast D.C. that occurred between April 2022 and January 2023. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the Metropolitan Police Department announced the guilty pleas from Derrico Johnson, Ronald Henderson, Daveon Robinson, and Demarco Robinson. The incidents have been linked to a group known as the “Get Back Gang” or “the Z.”

Derrico Johnson pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter while armed in the April 12, 2022, shooting death of Clayton Marshal. Johnson and Ronald Henderson also pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the May 26, 2022, killing of 16-year-old Justin Johnson, known as “23 Rackz.” Henderson and Daveon Robinson admitted to participating in a third shooting on January 2, 2023, outside Alabama Convenience Store, where bystanders were injured, as per the U.S. Attorney's Office release.

The plea agreements propose the following sentencing ranges: Johnson could face 19.5 to 23 years, Henderson between 18 and 23 years, and Daveon Robinson between six and 10 years. Demarco Robinson’s sentence will run concurrently with a sentence from a previous federal firearms case. Final sentences will be determined by Superior Court Judge Michael Ryan on September 12.

The investigation involved the Metropolitan Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Sellinger.
