Hailing from eastern North Carolina, the Dedicated Men of Zion are a group of eight relatives united by both family ties and a shared musical heritage. Faith & Harmony will also perform, consisting of two sets of first cousins connected through their family’s gospel music heritage. The six members are descendants of Dorothy Vines Daniels and are related to Freeman Vines, linking them to traditional gospel and the broader music community. Both groups will perform songs reflecting their history, family background, and faith.
The series is a partnership between the Music Maker Foundation, the Town of Carrboro, WUNC 91.5 FM, and The Forests at Duke.
