Construction of Kuilei Place, a new condominium complex in Honolulu's Mō‘ili‘ili neighborhood, began in April. The project, a collaboration between BlackSand Capital and the Kobayashi Group, will provide over 1,000 homes on a 3.15-acre site. As of now, 85% of the residences have already been sold, according to the Office of the Governor.

Governor Josh Green, M.D. stated, "This project represents real progress toward increasing housing opportunities for local families." Kuilei Place is a new housing development that will include a lap pool, fitness centers, dog parks, and views of Diamond Head and the Ko‘olau Mountains. The project will also feature Hawai‘i's first residential greywater reuse system, which is expected to save 11 million gallons of water annually, along with solar hot water systems and EV charging solutions, as reported by the Office of the Governor.

Kuilei Place is a housing project that will provide both market-rate and workforce residences. It is part of the Dwelling Unit Revolving Fund Equity Pilot Program. Mayor Rick Blangiardi stated that "it shows how innovative housing initiatives can make a difference." The project is set to be completed by 2027 and is designed to address housing needs in Hawaii. Further details are available on the official website of the Office of the Governor.
