The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is opening its doors and taking its message directly to the people in a series of upcoming town hall meetings. Over the course of two months, residents will have the opportunity to engage with Sheriff T.K. Waters, District Commanders, and local law enforcement officers in a bid to strengthen community connections. Starting from July 8 and running until August 12, each of the city's six districts will host an event aimed at fostering dialogue between the public and police force.

Announced through a Facebook post from the Sheriff's Office, these town halls provide an opportunity for citizens to hear from and directly question the Sheriff and district leaders. Topics will include local law enforcement efforts, community concerns, and overall safety initiatives. The inaugural town hall will bring together District 6 residents at The Church of Eleven22 - North Jax Campus on Tuesday, July 8.

For residents uncertain about their district alignments or the locations of their respective town hall meetings, the Sheriff's Office has provided a tool on its website. The "Find My District" page is designed to help residents determine where they should attend. Each meeting is intended to offer information about local law enforcement efforts and provide a forum for public questions and concerns. The Sheriff's Office has indicated that these town halls are part of its broader community engagement strategy.

District 5 residents will meet at Trinity Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 15, while District 4’s event is scheduled for First Coast Christian School on July 22. Additional meetings are planned throughout the summer, including District 3 at University Christian School on July 29, District 2 at The Church of Eleven22 – Arlington Campus on August 8, and District 1 at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville on August 12. These events will allow residents to communicate directly with Sheriff's Office personnel assigned to their neighborhoods.
