LA General Medical Center has nabbed another 'A' Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, as per recent announcements. The prized 'A' underscores the institution's ongoing commitment to patient care quality.
This recurring achievement sets a dignified benchmark for what public hospitals can attain. "Achieving three straight 'A' grades demonstrates what's possible when hospitals lead with purpose," CEO Jorge Orozco told LA County's news bulletin, highlighting the relentless drive of the medical personnel honing the bastion of urban academic health care into a safety and quality powerhouse.
Daily safety meetings, administrative equity, and direct problem-solving initiatives from the front lines have propelled the hospital to impressive milestones. Reduced patient complications, diagnostic precision, and overall stronger health outcomes. "This Leapfrog ‘A’ grade is a reflection of our mission-driven approach to care," Dr. Brad Spellberg, Chief Medical Officer, noted in the news bulletin.
Chief Nursing Officer Nancy Blake echoed the sentiment, spotlighting the indispensable role of the nursing team in achieving three 'A' grades consecutively, and added, "Our nurses lead with compassion, clinical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to equity and safety." Evidently, the appraisal is a collective win, celebrating every member of the team that is dedicated to bettering patient and community outcomes on all fronts. Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Charles Coffey, defined the Leapfrog grade as a "reflection of a deeply embedded culture of safety, equity, and accountability," which further cements the positive results stemming from the hospital's patient-first philosophy.
