Aerion Warmsley, the suspect in a series of crimes in the Las Vegas Valley, now faces federal charges in addition to state allegations. After a deadly incident at Aliante Casino and a series of carjackings in March, a grand jury indicted Warmsley on federal charges, as reported by FOX5 Vegas.
Warmsley is accused of killing 23-year-old Na'onche Osborn and is now facing new federal charges. These include two counts of carjacking and three counts of using a gun during a violent crime. He also faces state charges, including open murder. According to News 3 Las Vegas, the events began when Warmsley allegedly shot Osborn inside a casino, crashed a car shortly after in Las Vegas, and then stole another vehicle at gunpoint.
Warmsley was stopped by Las Vegas police after allegedly hijacking multiple vehicles during a pursuit. Police said his pants matched those seen in casino surveillance footage of the gunman. He has a preliminary hearing for state charges on May 5 and a federal arraignment on May 13 at the Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse in Las Vegas, as mentioned by News 3 Las Vegas.
