A quarter-century of commitment to women's health and empowerment is set to be celebrated at the Long Beach Convention Center. The KJLH Women's Health Expo, now in its landmark 25th year, will take place on Saturday, gathering hundreds of exhibitors focused on health, wellness, and lifestyle products and services specifically catering to women and families. Honoring a legacy of promoting generational health, this year's theme is "The Silver Lining: 25 Years of Building Generational Health," as detailed in a press release from the City of Long Beach.

Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson expressed the city's pride in the event, stating, "For 25 years, KJLH and the City of Long Beach have partnered to advance women’s wellness and empowerment," in a statement obtained by the City of Long Beach. The free public expo will play host to an array of features, including an exercise zone, and on a healthy dishes stage, attendees can savor a curated selection of nutritional cuisines.

According to the City of Long Beach release, the event aims to shine a light on important health issues and provide direct resources to the community. It will offer free health screenings and wellness centers, among other activities suitable for diverse age groups. Moreover, there will be chances to win prizes throughout the day, with a live KJLH broadcast set to kick things off at 8 a.m.

As attendees explore what the expo has to offer, the Black Infant Health Program (BIH) will be featured prominently with the BIH Pavilion. "This event is a cornerstone in our commitment to preventive care and culturally relevant public health," Alison King, the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services, told the City of Long Beach. This space, a vibrant 90-square-foot cultural area, will provide interactive game zones and host panel discussions and breakout sessions focused on stress management and Black birth equity.

More details about the expo and registration information can be found on the KJLH Women’s Health Expo registration page. While registration is recommended, walk-ins will be welcomed warmly as well from 6:00 a.m., when the doors open to the public.
