The light and variable wind is set to take a southwesterly turn later this morning, moving at a speed of 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight, the fog is set to return, descending upon the city after 11:00 p.m. with increasing clouds and a low settling around 58 degrees. While the west southwest wind will persist at 5 to 10 mph, it is predicted to veer southeast past midnight.
As Friday rolls in, the city will wake to similar patchy fog lifting before 11:00 a.m. The clouds will loom through the mid-morning before the sky clears, promising a sunny high near 79 degrees. A gentle breeze from the east southeast will shift to a southwesterly flow in the afternoon at the same tame pace.
Looking ahead to the weekend, on Saturday, Los Angeles can anticipate a partly sunny day with an occasional morning fog before 11 am and highs around 74 degrees. In the ever-changing dance of the winds, an east-southeast breeze will once again become a southwesterly whisper by the afternoon. Saturday night is forecast to be partly cloudy with a low hovering around 57 degrees.
The trend of patchy morning fog followed by mostly sunny skies will persist into Sunday, with the temperature rising slightly to near 75 degrees. Memorial Day will continue this pattern, remaining partly sunny and reaching an expected high of the same measure. The week will commence with more fog and clouds, temperatures peaking at mid-70s during the day and dropping to the high 50s at night through to Wednesday.
