
Authorities in Los Angeles are actively pursuing a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting incident that occurred in East Los Angeles on Friday evening. As reported by KTLA, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to the 1100 block of Eastman Avenue shortly after 11:00 p.m. to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, whose identity has been withheld, was transported by family members to a local hospital, where he later died.
According to the same report from KTLA, evidence of the shooting was discovered on the 3600 block of East Meisner Street. A dark-colored sedan was also spotted leaving the area immediately following the incident. However, details on the suspect remain elusive as of the latest updates.
CBS News Los Angeles, meanwhile, offered confirmation that the homicide investigation is ongoing and that, as of their reporting, no motive or suspect information has been provided by officials.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has called upon the public to assist in the investigation.
