Residents of Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward are being called to gather for a public safety meeting, aiming to address the community’s concerns as the summer approaches. Alderman Robert J. Bauman is spearheading the event, scheduled for June 4 at the Skylight Music Theatre, located at 158 N. Broadway, as announced in a recent statement.
The dialogue is set to open its doors at 5:30 p.m., giving locals a chance to ease into the evening with a cash bar and some light snacks. However, the real meat of the meeting gets underway at 6 p.m., with contributions expected from key figures including Alderman Bauman, Captain Robert Thiel of the Milwaukee Police Department's District 1, and representatives from the Historic Third Ward Association, and Business Improvement District #2.
Alderman Bauman highlighted the importance of the scheduled gathering, signaling that it will cover "public safety trends, proactive strategies, as well as best practices to help keep our community safe this summer," according to a notice posted by the City of Milwaukee. This convergence aims to not only inform the residents but also to act as a collaborative platform for the enhancement of safety protocols.
