Relief washed over the community of Calhoun County as the Michigan State Police (MSP) announced the safe return of 14-year-old Caidee Christine Yarbro, after a worrying period of her being reported missing. Yarbro, who attends Marshall Middle School, had last been seen after school last Friday and was not heard from until yesterday. The MSP credited "various tips from the public and diligent police work" for the successful location of the teenager, according to a post by the MSP Fifth District.

Thanks to various tips from the public and diligent police work, 14 year old Caidee Christine Yarbro has been located safely and returned to her family. Everyone have a wonderful evening and stay safe! https://t.co/GcOT7WxKUn pic.twitter.com/7QdxkCW0Ia
Yarbro was last in contact with friends via Snapchat around 5 p.m. last Friday, telling them she was in the Albion area but did not disclose her exact location or whether she was accompanied, MLive reported. The teen was still missing as of approximately 6:30 p.m. yesterday, and her sudden disappearance sparked a search that involved the community and law enforcement. The MSP did not provide further details on how or where specifically Yarbro was found, nor the circumstances leading to her return.
A statement released last night by the MSP confirmed that Yarbro had been located safely and was already back with her family. This information came as a welcome update after the initial anxiety that gripped her loved ones and community members when she failed to come home from school.
The collective effort to find Caidee illustrates the power of community vigilance and responsiveness in times of crisis. Public engagement in sharing information and the active role of the MSP were crucial in the positive resolution of this case, as stated by WZZM13.
