Nashville's own Eric Church is revving up the engines for his "Free the Machine" tour, slated to inject a blend of country rock into arenas across North America this fall. Starting September 12 in Pittsburgh at the PPG Paints Arena, fans will get a chance to immerse themselves in shows promised to be refreshingly different from his past tours. In a video message to his fan club, the Church Choir, Church said, "From front to back, these shows will be different than anything you've ever seen or heard from us before," according to People.

This tour, supporting his latest album "Evangeline vs. The Machine", comes after Church's previous visit to Pittsburgh in 2023 as part of his Outsiders Tour, the artist's last tour had him play to a packed crowd at The Pavilion at Star Lake and now he is planning to continue his streak of high-energy performances into uncharted territory while celebrating his newest release. With an emphasis on combating ticket scalping practices and illegal reselling, Church is taking measures to ensure his true fans get first access to the tickets. Church Choir Members will have exclusive early access to pit tickets, which can be picked up at will-call stations to bypass the bots and the scalpers. This move, shared by Country Central, shows Church's commitment to his loyal fan base.

The "Free the Machine" tour doesn't just boast the headlining act of Eric Church himself; he's bringing along a dynamic range of special guests, including Elle King, the Marcus King Band, and Charles Wesley Godwin, all of whom are slated to perform on various nights throughout the tour. Each artist adds their flavor of country and rock, amplifying the unique experience Church has teased. Tickets for the general public will become available May 9 at 10 a.m. local time. Still, for Church Choir members, they get a head start with presales starting May 5, as they aim to secure their spots in what's shaping up to be one of the most talked-about tours of the year. CBS News Pittsburgh detailed these dates, including the special guest arrangements.
