Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu of the Houston Police Department said a shooting happened at a family gathering after an uninvited guest was asked to leave and later came back with a gun. "The uninvited guest is believed to have started the shootout, with other partygoers opening fire on the assailant," she said, as mentioned by New York Post. One person died, and several people were detained. Police have not confirmed if the shooter is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
