
A man in his late 60s was found dead in a Pico Rivera residence early Wednesday morning, leading to the arrest of a suspect, as reported by KTLA. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 8000 block of Telegraph Road around 4:00 a.m. upon receiving reports of an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, the authorities discovered the victim, a male Hispanic, dead at the scene.
During the subsequent investigation, deputies detained and later arrested a man in his 40s, also a resident of the home. Arrested for murder, his bail has been set at $2 million. As of now, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has not disclosed how the suspect and the victim were associated, nor the details surrounding the fatal incident, including the victim's injuries.
Further information is not yet available regarding a motive for the homicide or the specifics of the fatal incident. In a statement obtained by the Sheriff's Information Bureau, the case is expected to be submitted to the District Attorney's Office for consideration of charging the suspect formally.
