A tragic multi-vehicle collision in Jessup, Maryland, has claimed the life of a woman following a head-on crash involving a stolen vehicle. Howard County police have confirmed that the incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday, involving four cars on Guilford Road near Twelve Sons Court and Mission Road.

In the chaos of the collision, four juveniles fled the scene in the stolen 2017 Hyundai Sonata. As per CBS News Baltimore, the vehicle was being driven east on Guilford Ave when it decided to dangerously speed past a 2021 Tesla Model Y attempting a left turn. The stolen car sideswiped the Tesla and a 2010 Honda Fit before colliding head-on with Bonnie Fuller Griffith's 2021 Honda Civic. Griffith, 69, of Columbia, was later pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital.

One of the juveniles involved in the crash was injured and subsequently transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. "His condition is listed as serious but stable," according to FOX 5 DC. The other three juveniles remain at large as the police investigation unfolds.

The collision's aftermath was visible in SkyTeam 11 footage, showcasing a vehicle in a ditch and extensive damage to those involved. As reported by WBALTV, Mission Road was closed for about four hours due to the crash. No one else besides Griffith and the one juvenile was reported injured in the crash.

Authorities have yet to file charges, but the investigation is actively ongoing.
