
An 81-year-old woman, Margaret Brown, was fatally injured in a hit-and-run collision on Desert Inn Road at Grand Canyon Road. The incident occurred last Friday, at around 9:57 p.m. Brown was hospitalized but died from her injuries on Monday. This was the 78th traffic-related fatality in the area this year, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that a dark-colored Nissan Sentra made a right turn at an intersection and hit Brown while she was crossing in a marked crosswalk with the walk signal. The driver and vehicle have not yet been located. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the death of Margaret Brown after being notified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Investigators believe a 2016–2019 dark-colored Nissan Sentra was involved in a hit-and-run and left the scene.
