As detailed by FOX Baltimore, the incident that unfolded at a West 29th Street apartment building commenced in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The efforts to sway the man from his perilous perch on the 13th-floor balcony kicked off typically around 6 a.m., according to WMAR2 News, the Crisis Response Team and Hostage Negotiators were summoned along with the Baltimore Fire Department, taking turns throughout the day and night to engage with the individual who found himself ensnared in a behavioral crisis.
Meanwhile, one member of the Baltimore Police suffered an injury during this life-affirming intervention, acting as a sobering reminder of the incident's high stakes which included people coming from different units, the participation of multiple negotiation and crisis response teams coupled with fire department personnel to ensure the situation came to a safe close, as noted by WMAR2 News.
