After dedicating 14 years of service to the Citrus County community, Evidence Technician Tina Andes decided to close the chapter on her career. According to a social media post by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Andes began her journey with them in 2011 as an Animal Control Officer (ACO) before transferring to the Evidence Unit in 2021. Her tireless work ethic was notable, and she played a pivotal role in ensuring the wellbeing of both animals and people in the region.

Known for her unparalleled compassion, Andes carved a niche for herself in the community with initiatives like her "Kibble Route," where she personally delivered pet food and kitty litter to pet owners struggling financially. This personal touch was a hallmark of her service, and she made a point to find someone to continue the route before changing roles, the sheriff's office mentioned.

In her subsequent position within the Evidence Unit, Andes was instrumental in maintaining strict standards for the handling of evidence. Her dedication earned her a series of accolades over the years, including a Unit Citation and multiple Certificates of Commendation, complemented by plentiful appreciation from colleagues and those within the community.

"I enjoyed the work I did here, I hope somehow, I made a difference in the lives of the animals and people I interacted with," Andes reflected on her time at CCSO, her words shared by the sheriff's office.
