Between 200 and 300 people gathered on the football field where Paton once played, where a fight broke out, leading to the reported shooting, which was confirmed by the Culver City Police Department.
Authorities arrived on the scene at the Torrance party after reports of shots fired and found Paton nonresponsive. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed his death by gunshot wound to the head. In response to the successive incidents.
