The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the incident, which occurred at 823 S Mateo St, at 7:27 a.m., as reported by LAFD Alert.
According to the LAFD, the collision involved three patients, one of whom required extrication from one of the vehicles. The extent of the injuries sustained by those involved has not been disclosed, but emergency teams were swiftly on site to address the situation. Mateo Street is now closed to all traffic between 7th Place and Bay Street, following the incident, and will remain so until the operations by LAFD & LAPD are completed. Commuters are advised to find alternate routes, as detours have been established.
