The City of Euless and the Dallas Stars have decided to push their partnership into the next era at the Children’s Health StarCenter in Euless, Texas. The agreement, which extends their relationship to 2040, was sealed during the June 10 City Council meeting, where visions of a tech-savvy and comfort-focused venue were set into motion.
Euless Mayor Linda Martin expressed excitement about the continuation of a relationship that has spanned decades. "They’ve been an incredible community partner for many years, and this renewed commitment brings new energy and opportunity to the residents of Euless," Martin told the City of Euless’ website. The extended partnership arrives with promises of a slew of enhancements, including a cutting-edge ice plant and a complete HVAC overhaul aimed at delivering optimal rink conditions and greater comfort.
Anticipated renovations do not end with the machinery that keeps the ice pristine and the fans cool. Visitors can look forward to modernizations reaching the high-traffic spaces as well—restrooms and the lobby area are slated for an update to create a more inviting atmosphere. These are part of a broader commitment to the community, encapsulated by the Senior Vice President of StarCenter Properties, Dan Morris, who proclaimed, "It’s an exciting time for us. We’ve invested in the City of Euless, and they’ve invested in us."
Indeed, since its opening back in 2000, the StarCenter has been a key player within the City of Euless Parks at the Texas Star sports complex. Located at 1400 S. Pipeline Road, it's home to year-round hockey leagues, skating clinics, and varied programs catering to a diverse range of enthusiasts, from novices to professional athletes.
