In a swift effort to battle the flames, the LVMPD Air Unit played a vital role in ensuring the area was cleared of people and in assisting the fire crews with critical information from above. LVMPD's social media post stated, "Our Air Unit helped ensure the safety of the public by checking for anyone still on or near the trails after the area was closed by Park Police."

As the fire took hold, the park was promptly closed to visitors by the Clark County Park Police to avoid any potential harm. "We also worked with fire personnel to provide estimates on the burn size, direction of travel, and the best access routes to reach the flames quickly," the LVMPD emphasized on their social media.
