In an effort to address gun safety in the community, the City of Jacksonville Beach Police Department is gearing up for an event aimed at promoting responsible firearm ownership. To enhance this educational push, local photographer and film producer Mitch Kaufmann has stepped in, making a sizeable contribution to the cause.
Recognized for his artistic skills, Kaufmann has volunteered his time and expertise to create what's promised to be a compelling gun safety video. The film is set to be a cornerstone of the upcoming Gun Safety Event scheduled for next week. The community-oriented video will serve as a visual aid to underline the importance of knowledgeable and cautious handling of firearms. "Your work will go a long way in helping us educate our community and promote responsible firearm ownership," expressed the City of Jacksonville Beach Police Department's Post, thanking Kaufmann for his donation.
As the date approaches, the anticipation for the video premiere grows. It is an opportunity for Jacksonville Beach residents to come together, learn, and perhaps, reshape their perspectives on gun ownership. Families and children have been encouraged to attend the event, which suggests an inclusive approach to the sensitive topic, reaching all age groups in the community.
The Gun Safety Event is slated for Saturday from noon to 3 p.m., taking place at 101 Penman Road South. Besides the educational screening, it's unknown what additional activities or presentations will be part of the three-hour session. The Police Department, however, has made it clear that Kaufmann's video is a not-to-be-missed feature. "Stay tuned to see the video at the event — you won’t want to miss it!" City of Jacksonville Beach Police Department's announcement proclaims. With the event welcoming children, it stands as an important step towards fostering a culture of safety from a young age.
