A crash involving two semi-trucks caused major delays on northbound Interstate 15 near Speedway Boulevard early Monday morning. According to FOX5 Vegas, the incident happened around 5:40 a.m. when one of the trucks jack-knifed and caught fire.
A fire caused the emergency closure of all northbound lanes at mile marker 54, as reported by FOX5 Vegas. Two people were injured; one was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, while the other had non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic was redirected to Speedway Boulevard during the response.
News 3 LV said the northbound lanes of the interstate were closed to allow emergency crews to respond to a crash. Nevada State Police advised drivers to take alternate routes due to heavy traffic.
