
A hit-and-run collision in eastern Michigan has left a 35-year-old man and a horse with severe injuries after their buggy was rear-ended by a car. The Michigan State Police have stated, in a statement obtained by mlive, that the man was driving eastward on Peck Road with his horse-drawn buggy when they were struck from behind. While the man was promptly transported to a local hospital after the incident, the horse, sustaining serious injuries, was in need of urgent care.
Troopers are soliciting the public's help to locate the suspect vehicle, described as a white or light-colored Ford Fusion, model years 2010 to 2014, with front-end damage.
