Discrimination, violence, and inequality continue to impact LGBTQ+ individuals worldwide.”
Acknowledged worldwide for its vibrant Pride celebrations, Philadelphia does not just stop at parades. It bolsters its local LGBTQ+ community through legal protections, including the Fair Practices Ordinance, which, as per phila.gov, "prohibits discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations based on sexual orientation and gender identity."
