An altercation originating from a turn signal dispute erupted into violence this past Monday near Bradenton’s Riverwalk, leading to gunfire and a collision, as detailed by local law enforcement agencies. FOX 13 News reported that the incident took place at approximately 3:20 p.m. when 33-year-old Raesean Poole attempted a left turn from the parking lot at 101 Riverfront Blvd.
According to the Bradenton Police Department, Poole was confronted by Anthony Williams, a 20-year-old driving a Buick sedan, who turned left into the same parking lot without signaling, which sparked the initial confrontation. Driving the Jeep, Poole backed up to address the issue with Williams, reported MySuncoast.com.
During the ensuing argument, a 16-year-old passenger along with Williams exited the Buick, which is when Poole alleges Williams brandished a firearm. Surveillance footage shows Poole attempting to leave the scene multiple times, only to stop and reengage with Williams. Fox News described the "final confrontation" where Poole, in a rush of aggression, drove his vehicle towards Williams, resulting in Poole striking a stop sign and a tree before hitting Williams in the leg.
In response to the incident, as FOX 13 News reports, the teenager retrieved a gun and fired into Poole’s Jeep. The altercation led to all three individuals being charged. Local law enforcement continues to investigate the chaotic scene, which serves as a stark reminder of the potentially lethal consequences stemming from road rage. Specific details of the charges have not been disclosed at this time.
