In Salisbury, North Carolina, a one-month long drug investigation by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office culminated with multiple arrests on Wednesday. This operation, as part of a concerted effort to combat the distribution of narcotics, targeted Antwaun Miller and his residence on 802 Green Street, a known hub for gang activity and drug trafficking.
During the course of the investigation, detectives managed to covertly purchase around 25 grams of fentanyl, equating to about 250 pills, as per the details outlined in a social media post from the sheriff's office. The search warrant, executed collaboratively by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, Salisbury Police Department, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, led to not only arrests but also to the seizure of drugs and firearms. "The removal of dangerous narcotics like fentanyl and illegal firearms from our community remains a top priority," said the sheriff's office statement.
The arrests included several individuals: Antwaun Miller, charged with trafficking opiates; Devron Davis, charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver approximately 271 grams of marijuana; Lorenzo Peck, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; Raheen Wilson, arrested on an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant; and Daimein Dillard, arrested for a Felony Probation Violation. The extent of the items confiscated indicates a significant disruption in local drug activities.
The authorities have encouraged the general public to aid in their ongoing operations by providing any pertinent information that could lead to further charges or arrests, emphasizing that caller identity will remain confidential. Anyone with information can reach out to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office directly or anonymously through Rowan County Crime Stoppers. "This case is still an open investigation and further charges are pending," further iterated the sheriff’s office.
