Montgomery County Police have arrested a 23-year-old White Oak man following a domestic dispute that escalated to a stabbing. O’Shea Hunter of Silver Spring was taken into custody after allegedly stabbing his mother’s boyfriend in the chest with a multi-tool knife during an argument last Friday, according to a press release issued by the Montgomery County Department of Police.

The incident began to swiftly unravel at around 4:22 p.m. on the 1500 block of November Circle. Hunter is accused of first threatening the victim with a fork, and when his demands were not immediately complied with, he reportedly opted to grab a knife to carry out the act. The altercation didn’t end at the stabbing; it's alleged that Hunter struck the victim again with an expandable baton before fleeing the scene. The victim described the assailant, sustaining a laceration but declining medical treatment.

Officers responding to the incident pieced together information from the scene and launched a manhunt for Hunter, who was located near Lockwood Drive. Upon seeing the police officers, Hunter attempted to elude capture by jumping over a fence, but he was soon surrounded by a K-9 unit and apprehended. "Officers searched for Hunter and located him in the 11300 block of Lockwood Drive. When Hunter saw the officers, he ran away and jumped over a fence," the Montgomery County Department of Police statement detailed.

Hunter’s apprehension led to him being transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. There, he’s to face multiple charges, including first-degree assault, second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and reckless endangerment. Currently held without bond, the gravity of these accusations underscores the weight of the confrontation and the subsequent effort by officers to take him into custody. “He is being held without bond,” noted the Montgomery County Department of Police press release, elucidating the legal consequences Hunter now stares down.
