
Yesterday morning, Goldsboro Police were called to a scene behind a Waffle House where they discovered a flipped car and three injured men, one suffering from a gunshot wound, WRAL reported. The police department indicated that the incident happened around 2:10 a.m. on North Berkeley Boulevard, with the vehicle ending up in the woods behind the restaurant.
The driver, identified as 20-year-old Jondre Spencer, and a 21-year-old passenger, Jakoree Harper, were transported to local hospitals as officers received calls from the two men who managed to escape the crashed vehicle and flee into the nearby woods, the men were later found and the conditions of their injuries have not been disclosed, ABC11 added. The Goldsboro Police Department has not yet provided an update on the identity of the third man found with a gunshot wound inside the car.
The incident triggered a response from the Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau who are currently working to determine what events led to the shooting and subsequent car crash, CBS17 reported. The vehicle was found overturned behind the Waffle House at 502 N. Berkeley Blvd., and this case remains under active investigation.
