Early Tuesday morning, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reported a carjacking incident in Victorville. According to the official release, two teenagers threatened to shoot a victim and subsequently stole the victim's car. The identities of the victim and the juveniles have been kept confidential, and the case is currently under investigation.

In a pursuit that spanned approximately 10 minutes, deputies managed to quickly locate and follow the stolen vehicle after the victim's family provided vital information. Despite initially failing to yield, the teens eventually stopped the car, attempting to then flee on foot. The suspects, a 16-year-old from Lucerne Valley and a 17-year-old from Barstow, were apprehended near Palmdale Road and Seqouia Road.

The Sheriff's Department states that the two have been booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center on charges of carjacking (PC 215), accessory (PC 32), vehicle theft (VC 10851(A)), and failure to yield (VC 2800.2(A)).
