As the tumultuous events were condemned by political figures like State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez, who raised concerns about the message these aggressive actions send to the community, SEIU's April Verret called for an end to such raids they are deemed dangerous and unjust. While Huerta was released from the hospital, he remained in federal custody pending a Monday arraignment KTLA said.
