The wave of road rage incidents has escalated with the arrest of a Baltimore City man, following two independent road rage allegations involving firearms. Kelly Talbert, 31, was apprehended by authorities after being connected to these aggressive encounters on the roads of Baltimore County. According to a report by the Maryland State Police, Talbert, who is facing several charges, including first- and second-degree assault, also resisted arrest, which led to an altercation with the arresting officers.
These charges stem from two separate incidents. The first complaint, lodged yesterday, involved a copper-colored firearm pointed at a driver on the outer loop of I-695 near Wilkens Avenue. The second incident, which occurred on February 4, 2024, saw a similar pattern with a tan-colored firearm brandished at another driver and passengers while on I-695's inner loop, in the vicinity of Perring Parkway. It was during the execution of a subsequent search warrant that authorities discovered the loaded weapon in Talbert's vehicle, cementing his role in these dangerous exchanges.
Talbert is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center as further inquiries are being conducted. The Maryland Department of State Police remains vigilant in its fight against gun violence on state highways, actively seeking additional information on these cases—alongside the ongoing investigations into the homicides of Delonte Hicks, Charles Marks, and Nyah Hairston.
