Baltimore is set to celebrate Independence Day with a bang this year, hosting dual celebrations at both the Inner Harbor and Middle Branch Park. In a statement reported by the City of Baltimore's news release, Mayor Brandon M. Scott extended an invitation to "families, friends, and visitors" for an evening of fireworks, live music, and more. Excitingly, this year's roundup includes an innovative drone show at Cherry Hill, a first for the city.
At Inner Harbor, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. tomorrow, attendees can enjoy the traditional fireworks display, which is perfectly viewable from between Point Park and Domino Sugar. Furthermore, the festival atmosphere is enhanced by the Pratt Street Market, which is backed by the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and features an array of local vendors. The mayor himself will mark his presence, in a manner speaking, via kayak.
Adding to the festivities is the Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival at Middle Branch Park. Running from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the celebration features a diverse array of activities, including arts and crafts vendors and historical reenactments.
As night falls, onlookers will be treated to the drone show, a collaborative effort between the mayor's office and the Youth Resiliency Institute, starting at 9:30 p.m. after the fireworks at Inner Harbor conclude. For those interested in a distinct celebration, Baltimore City Rec & Parks has organized a Silent Disco at Point Park. Here, guests can groove to three live DJs with prime views of the fireworks for just $10 entry fee, which includes headphone rental for the night.
