
A dog died in a house fire early Sunday morning in Bangor Township. The fire occurred shortly after 5 a.m. on County Road 687. South Haven Area Emergency Services responded to the scene. According to FOX 17, two people and one of their dogs escaped the fire, but another dog did not survive.
A fire that started around a window air conditioner had already spread by the time firefighters arrived, leaving no opportunity to rescue a second dog. "The home was up in flames when they arrived," as mentioned by FOX 17. The residents woke up to smoke and quickly evacuated, but were unable to save both of their dogs.
