Residents navigating through Dublin’s Bridge Park area next Tuesday may want to plan for some minor detours. The City's Forestry team has scheduled the removal of dead street trees, an effort to maintain the community’s green spaces. The work is set to begin at 9 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, and will prompt the temporary closure of the right northbound lane on Riverside Drive.
According to a notice posted on the City of Dublin's official website, the lane will be closed to ensure the safety of the crews during the removal process. This task is expected to last a few hours, the weather permitting, and cause minimal interruption to the local traffic flow. Commuters should take note that closures may extend past the estimated time if conditions change.
The notice also states that additional trees slated for removal are located within the interior regions of the park, and these operations won’t necessitate any street or lane closures. The City of Dublin is collaborating with Crawford Hoying, the Bridge Park development partner, to coordinate these efforts.
The city expressed gratitude to residents in advance for their patience, stating via the City of Dublin's official website, "We appreciate your patience as we maintain a healthy street trees in Dublin." Residents and onlookers can expect to see the team at work, ensuring the health and aesthetics of the community’s urban canopy remain intact.
