
A hiker in his 40s was rescued from the Mānoa Falls Trail on Sunday after a medical emergency. The Honolulu Fire Department 911 center received the call at 10:50 a.m., as reported by the Honolulu Fire Department.
According to the Honolulu Fire Department, the first unit arrived at 11:01 a.m. and secured a landing zone for the helicopter. Another unit hiked into the area and found the hiker, who could not get down the trail alone. The team reached the hiker at 11:13 a.m. and provided basic life support until Air 1 arrived for the airlift.
A hiker was rescued late at night after Air 1 inserted rescue personnel near his location. He was airlifted and transferred to medical services at 11:41 p.m. All Honolulu Fire Department personnel involved were accounted for, and no injuries were reported.
