Accepting the proclamation, Sandra Sroka of the Hillsborough County Alliance for People with Disabilities expressed gratitude, emphasizing the county's support for citizens with disabilities and acknowledging the ongoing advocacy for their inclusion and access in society.
Throughout three decades, the ADA has stood as a bulwark, championing the rights of individuals with disabilities, covering public life sectors to ensure against discrimination, the ADA has made it possible for alliances and organizations nationwide to support and stand up for the rights of people with disabilities, and the joint efforts of the Hillsborough County and City of Tampa Alliance for Citizens with Disabilities have been particularly noted for their significant impact, having worked together to improve accessibility and inclusion within the local community.
In her proclamation acceptance speech, as reported by HCFL.gov, Sroka said, "Most importantly, [I thank the Board] for recognizing the invaluable contributions of people with disabilities and those who tirelessly advocate for their inclusion, access, and rights in all areas of society."
