A recent memo released by the House Judiciary Committee has brought to light allegations that the Biden-Harris administration might have improperly channeled taxpayer funds to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with anti-Netanyahu agendas. The revealed document, entitled "The Biden-Harris Administration's Funding of Anti-Netanyahu Non-Governmental Organizations," indicates that money from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department may have bolstered groups opposed to the former Israeli Prime Minister's policies.
On March 26, 2025, the House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), and the Foreign Affairs Committee, under the chairmanship of Brian Mast (R-FL), demanded records from six organizations for a close inspection. The NGOs, which include Blue White Future, Movement for Quality Government in Israel, PEF Israel Endowment Funds, Jewish Communal Fund, Middle East Peace Dialogue Network, and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, have, so far, complied by producing a collective 380 documents. The memo impugns the administration for failing to uphold fiscal responsibility, potentially breaching the trust that taxpayers place in their government's proper allocation of their dollars.
These grave accusations have spurred a tumultuous wave of concern and criticism toward the Biden-Harris administration. If the allegations hold true, this would be tantamount to a mishandling of public funds, a misuse of resources meant for diplomatic and developmental purposes, redirected towards partisan Israeli political interests. The committees are continuing their inquiries with vigor, aiming to uncover the depth and breadth of any policy violations or unethical subversions of U.S. foreign policy.
The investigation remains ongoing, but the emerging narrative from the committees is one of questionable judgment and possible conflict of interest on behalf of Biden's administration as it relates to the fraught political landscape within Israel, a landscape where the efficient use of taxpayer dollars should be beyond reproach.
