The National Weather Service in Las Vegas says isolated thunderstorms are expected mainly in the Eastern Sierra and northwestern Arizona. The rest of the area will stay mostly dry and breezy, with cooler-than-normal temperatures lasting through the week, according to the National Weather Service.

"Isolated thunderstorms remain possible across the Eastern Sierra and northwestern Arizona today while the drying trend continues elsewhere," as reported the National Weather Service Las Vegas in their morning forecast discussion. The storms might come with gusty winds and small hail, but significant precipitation isn't expected. As the sun bows out for the day, so too should the storms, as they typically lose their fervor without the heat to fuel them.

As the week unfolds, dry southwesterly winds are expected to intensify, leading to heightened fire weather concerns, especially from Monday through Wednesday. Though fire weather warnings haven't been deemed necessary by the agency, there are areas of concern, particularly in Nye and Lincoln counties on Monday. "Much drier air along with breezy conditions are expected Monday through Wednesday, raising fire weather concerns," as noted by the National Weather Service Las Vegas.

In the aviation sector, Harry Reid International Airport is bracing for gusty conditions, with south-southeasterly winds picking up by late morning into the early afternoon. Gusty winds are anticipated to reach between 20 and 25 knots, later veering through the afternoon and peaking between 25 and 30 knots. "Winds will veer through the afternoon as gusts peak between 25 and 30 kts," the National Weather Service Las Vegas predicted. After sunset, a mild drop in gust frequency is expected, but elevated winds will persist into the evening. These blustery conditions may affect other areas in southern Nevada, northwestern Arizona, and southeastern California as well.

Weather spotters are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any significant weather occurrences. All updates on weather conditions can be followed through the official National Weather Service Las Vegas forecast, where continued monitoring will provide further insights into any developing weather phenomena.
