The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued an Extreme Heat Warning and a Red Flag Warning for parts of southern Nevada. These warnings are in effect today and tomorrow due to hot temperatures, dry conditions, and strong winds, which together create critical fire weather conditions and increase the risk of wildfires, according to the National Weather Service.

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect on Wednesday for southern Mohave County and the Colorado River Valley, with the highest temperatures expected in the eastern part of the forecast area. The National Weather Service says, "The combination of dry fuels, low humidity, and breezy southerly-to-southwesterly winds will result in critical fire weather conditions across portions of southern Nevada today and tomorrow." Nye and Esmeralda counties are under a Red Flag Warning, and a Fire Weather Watch is in place for parts of Lincoln County on Wednesday. The public is advised to avoid activities that may cause sparks, as "any fires that start will develop and spread quickly."

Aviation forecasts for southern Nevada, northwest Arizona, and southeast California call for VFR conditions with light winds shifting south to southwest, and occasional gusts near 18–20 KT around Harry Reid during the afternoon and early evening. Mid to high-level clouds will pass through into the evening. Pilots should be prepared for occasional gusty winds, and local spotters are urged to report any significant weather developments. With dry conditions and high heat, communities are advised to remain cautious and prepared for potential fire weather risks, as reported by the National Weather Service.
