
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting last month. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said 39-year-old Calvin Beasley Jr. was taken into custody last Friday. He was identified as the suspect in the case and is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon. The arrest update was posted on the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s official website.
On June 18, around 2:16 p.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 3600 block of South Indios Avenue. Officers found a man in the roadway with a gunshot wound. He was given medical aid at the scene and taken to a hospital, where he later died. Investigators identified Beasley as the suspect, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Homicide detectives responded to a shooting where a person was shot after a verbal argument with another individual. The suspect left the scene after the incident. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity and cause of death.
