Temperatures are expected to remain typical for this time of year, with the dry weather lasting through the weekend and into next week, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service reports that the Sierra Crest may see afternoon showers today and tomorrow due to a shortwave moving through central California. Mohave County has a 10 to 20 percent chance of rain on Thursday and Friday afternoons from increased moisture linked to high pressure. At Harry Reid International Airport, winds will begin under 10 knots, shift easterly to southeasterly, and then turn southwesterly in the afternoon, with temperatures expected to rise above 100 degrees.
Airports in southern Nevada, northwest Arizona, and southeast California are expected to have mostly clear skies and dry conditions this week. In the Las Vegas Valley and Colorado River Valley, afternoon southwest winds may reach 15 to 20 knots. Southeasterly winds are expected at KBIH, while KDAG will see gusty westerly winds that decrease in the evening before returning later. The National Weather Service asks spotters to report any significant weather or impacts.
