The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is currently seeking the assistance of the community in locating two missing persons, a father and son duo, David and Jackson Marchesano. David Marchesano, 41, considered at-risk due to his battle with depression, was last contacted on Sunday morning. His son, Jackson, just 11 years old, has been missing since July 11th. Their disappearance has spurred a response from the Missing Persons Unit and the community at large, as officials work to piece together their whereabouts.
David Marchesano was last seen driving a 2014 white Volkswagen Passat, California license plate number 7GNA269. He is described as a male White, 5’09”, 190 lbs., sporting brown hair, brown eyes, and a beard. His typical attire includes a flannel shirt, dark jeans, and cowboy boots. Jackson, on the other hand, is described as an 11-year-old male White, standing 5’02”, and weighing 120 lbs., with matching brown hair and eyes. He was last noted to be wearing a baggy t-shirt, basketball shorts, and blue Skechers shoes. The investigating units suggest that Jackson may be with his father, a detail emphasized in public alerts.
The seriousness of these cases is underscored by the appeal for public involvement. "Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, Missing Person Detail," affirmed the Sheriff's Information Bureau in a statement obtained from the LASD Nixle message. In cases of reluctance to speak directly with law enforcement, citizens can anonymously report tips through "Crime Stoppers" by calling (800) 222-TIPS (8477), or by utilizing the P3 Tips Mobile APP and the Crime Stoppers website.
The search for the Marchesanos carries the weight of collective hope and apprehension. The LASD has not only dispatched detectives from its Missing Persons Unit but also efforts at the Malibu/Lost Hills Station are ongoing. The department is urging anyone who can shed light on the case to reach out to Detective Aquino or the on-duty Watch Commander at (818) 878-1808, as detailed in a message echoed by the official LASD announcement. The coordinated campaign to locate David and Jackson underscores a community's commitment to the value of each missing individual, as families await with bated breath for any sign of their loved ones.
