Mansfield residents can prepare to bid farewell to the old restrooms of Katherine Rose Memorial Park beginning next week as demolition makes way for upgraded facilities. The park, a local favorite, is undergoing substantial renovations, with the restroom reconstruction heralding a new phase in its transformation. In a video shared on their Facebook page, the department offered a sneak peek at the progress made over the past year, alongside renderings of what park-goers can expect in the coming months, according to a post from the Mansfield Texas Parks & Recreation.
While acknowledging that the park's revamp has been a drawn-out affair, the Parks & Recreation department assures visitors that the result will justify the wait, with promises of enhanced park amenities; indeed, not just restroom upgrades are on the horizon, but there's also word on additional sports courts, "design work is in progress with construction scheduled to begin in sprng; we cannot *wait* to share an update on that project very soon!" the Mansfield Texas Parks & Recreation bubbled over with enthusiasm in their social media update, indicating that despite the construction, the cherished green space is still open for enjoyment, although they cautioned the public to remain mindful of any work crews or temporary closures for the safety of all.
The inclusion of new sporting facilities such as tennis, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball courts across the street from the park was also confirmed. These additions, eagerly awaited by the community, are inching closer to reality as the design phase wraps up. Accessibility during the construction phase won't be an issue, according to the Parks & Recreation department.
