A 25-year-old man was taken into custody by Milwaukee police last Friday night in connection with the abduction of Jamal White, a seven-year-old boy who was reported to have been taken at gunpoint. According to WISN News, an Amber Alert was activated for the child late Friday when police said an armed, masked individual in a white Jeep Renegade kidnapped him near 61st and Hustis streets. Nearly 24 hours later, White was found safe at 39th and Lloyd in Milwaukee.
Further developments revealed by JSONLINE show Milwaukee police have arrested three men at homes connected to the kidnapping. The 25-year-old, initially arrested, was found at the house where Jamal was discovered and has been detained for a probation violation. The other two individuals, both 27, were apprehended at the residence from which White was taken. One is being held on tentative charges of resisting and obstructing, while the other faces a charge of 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety.
The boy's aunt had told WISN News that four men, all armed and with their faces covered by masks, were involved in the abduction. She recounted that White's father was in the vicinity when their family was returning home from a nearby park. Milwaukee police have yet to release the suspect's name, but they will refer charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
As part of the ongoing investigation and media coverage, the Hindustan Times has reported on the situation, noting the arrest of the three men in connection to the kidnapping of Jamal White.
