Mark your calendars and ready your backpacks for the 3rd annual Back to School Festival. Alderman Mark Chambers, Jr. invites service providers to help kickoff the upcoming academic year with a community gathering on August 24, from noon to 4 p.m. at Indigenous People's Park, according to a recent announcement. The neighborhood festivity offers families an opportunity to celebrate education with free activities and vital school resources.
Last year saw an impressive turnout of more than 4,000 participants. The festival provided not only an entertainment but also essential school supplies, including a limited quantity of bicycles for the taking. This upcoming event, building on the past success, is again calling for vendors who can offer valuable services and information pertinent to students' needs. "As we continue our mission to support as many families as possible, we are seeking service provider vendors to connect attendees with pertinent and helpful information, resources, and services to help ensure student preparation for the start of the school year," Alderman Chambers stated in a release on the City of Milwaukee website.
Those looking to participate in this year's festival should not hesitate to reach out. Alderman Chambers’ office has extended an open call for interested parties, signaling a community-wide effort for student success. "I invite interested service providers to join us as a vendor for this year’s Back to School Festival," Alderman Chambers expressed as per the City of Milwaukee website.
